Supported Devices
Powering Decentralized AI with Proven Hardware
Skyops is built to harness the full potential of distributed GPU infrastructure — connecting a wide spectrum of high-performance devices across the globe into a unified, compute-ready grid. From local rigs to enterprise setups, our protocol standardizes, benchmarks and rewards compatible hardware.
✅ Minimum Node Requirements
To join the Skyops network as a provider:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 or higher (12GB+ VRAM recommended)
RAM: Minimum 12GB system memory
OS: Ubuntu 20.04+ or Debian-based distro
Internet: ≥100 Mbps stable uplink
Driver Support: NVIDIA driver with CUDA 11.7+
Note: Lower-tier GPUs can still earn for lightweight jobs (inference, rendering, preprocessing).
⚙️ Recommended Hardware Tiers
🟢 Entry-Level Nodes
RTX 3060 / 3070 / 4060
Ideal for: inference jobs, WebGPU mining, small diffusion models
🔵 Performance Nodes
RTX 3080 / 3090 / 4080 / 4090
Ideal for: LLM fine-tuning, video generation, high-throughput rendering
🔴 Pro-Class & Enterprise
A5000 / A6000 / A100 / H100
Ideal for: multi-user workloads, AI clustering, heavy tensor ops, compute delegation
🔗 Multi-GPU & HPC Interconnects
For high-throughput, multi-GPU nodes, Skyops supports hardware with:
NVLink / NVSwitch — for unified memory pools and low-latency model parallelism
PCIe Gen 4+ — maximizing data transfer between CPU and GPU in batch pipelines
SmartNICs & RDMA — for ultra-low latency, high-speed node-to-node streaming
❄️ Cooling, Power & Stability
Thermal Optimization Recommended setups include adequate liquid or airflow cooling, especially for RTX 3090-class cards and above.
Redundant Power (Optional) While not required, use of UPS and backup systems is advised for enterprise-class contributors running 24/7 nodes.
Uptime Bonuses Stable nodes with >95% uptime qualify for boosted rewards and priority task routing.
🔍 Node Diagnostics & Monitoring
Skyops CLI and dashboard tools provide:
Real-time temperature tracking
Task success rate analytics
Resource usage logs
Hardware validation metrics
These tools ensure transparency for both providers and users, enhancing network reliability and rewarding high-performance contributors.
Skyops doesn’t run a centralized farm. We enable thousands of independent contributors to become part of a decentralized compute layer — and it all starts with the right hardware.
